The past few months I have had a broken heart. I have seen so many stories on the news about the Refugee Crisis. I long to help those people fleeing from their war torn countries, trying to find a better place for their families. Can you imagine what it would be like? To have to leave your home because it’s too dangerous to stay? Relocate your family and walk hundreds of miles, maybe even get on a tiny boat and hope you make it across the sea to a better place? And when you get there, your future is still uncertain? My heart yearns to help them.
Maybe it’s because I have 4 littles of my own. I just wanted to help those mommas help their babies have a better life. So when I found out about what Carry the Future is doing I decided I had to be a part of it. This great volunteer organization collects and distributes soft baby carriers to families carrying children on their long journey. Did you know thousands of refugees arrive in Greece daily and 30% of them are children? Carry the Future meets those families in Greece and outfits them with soft baby carriers. It’s a small thing, but I think it’s a very helpful one. Instead of having to carry their babies, they can be cuddly and warm and right next to mommy or daddy. Hopefully they’ll feel a little safer. I want to help make that happen.
So with that in mind, I am putting up some LDS Temple prints that I have done. You can donate and download them right here on my website. They’re only $10 and they make fabulous Christmas gifts! And you can print them wherever you’d like. Every cent of the money I raise through these Temple downloads will go directly toward purchasing soft baby carriers, and shipping them to their distribution center in Glendale, California. I hope you will consider donating and downloading these prints and help a very worthy cause.
